“Designing a presentation without an audience in mind is like writing a love letter and addressing it ‘to whom it may concern.’”
⏤ Ken Haemer
My understanding
This quote makes me smile because it’s so true. Designing a presentation without an audience is like creating a user experience without users. What’s the point?
Just like in UX design, a presentation only works when it focuses on the people it’s meant for. Without them, it’s just a bunch of slides with no soul. It misses the mark entirely!
The fun part is making that connection. It’s about turning ideas into something that not only informs but also resonates.
Whether it’s a presentation, a website, or a product, the magic happens when the design (choosing the right tone, visuals, and words) meets the audience where they are. That’s when it truly comes alive!
